French Proficiency Exams
Among the many French proficiency exams that are available, of particular interest to students wishing to enroll in courses at a French university will be the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) and TEF (Test d'Evaluation de Français) certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education. Those planning a career in Canada will also want to investigate the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF) for Quebec and the Test d’Évaluation de Français
adapté au Québec (TEFaQ).
The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) offers French proficiency exams with a professional focus (diplômes de français professionnels, or DFP).
