The French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) network across the US offers a limited number of unpaid internships. Requirements include fluency in French and English with a working understanding of American and French business practices and customs. Average internship period is 6 to 12 months. U.S. Department of State (Unpaid) Internship Program
The U.S. Department of State Internship Program offers unpaid internships in U.S. Embassies throughout the world, at Department offices across the U.S., and in various bureaus located in Washington, D.C. These internships are designed for those envisioning a career in Foreign Affairs. U.S. Department of Education Internships
The U.S. Department of Education has a Student Volunteer Unpaid Internship Program. While the Department of Education cannot provide compensation or housing for the internship program, all interns are eligible for Metro Transit benefits to cover transportation to and from work while residing in Washington, D.C. Students receiving outside funding (such as a grant) or school credit for the internship are encouraged to apply. |
United Nations Headquarters Internship Program
Graduate students participating in the United Nations Headquarters Internship Program complete their internship at one of the UN Headquarters in New York, Geneva, Vienna, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Beirut or Santiago. To become a UN intern, you must be enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program and have an excellent command of English or French. All visas, travel costs and arrangements and living accommodations are the responsibility of the interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns are not paid. |
